Emergency Assistance to the Islamic Republic of Iran in Response to the Flood Disaster

- On 10 April 2019, the Government of Japan has decided to provide emergency relief goods (190 Tents, 1,150 Sleeping pads, 100 Plastic sheets) ,total of about 6 tons, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Iran in response to the damages caused by the recent flood.
- Upon the request of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in light of the humanitarian perspective and the close relations between Japan and Iran, Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance to Iran to meet its humanitarian needs.
- The emergency relief goods will arrive at Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran late at night of 11 April.
