Signing Contracts of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects FY 2024

“Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)” implemented by the Embassy of Japan in Iran is based on the concept of human security and it is a flexible and timely funding scheme directly benefits to the grassroots level.
On February 3, H. E. Mr. Tamaki Tsukada , Ambassador of Japan to Iran signed a Grant Contract with Iranian NGOs, etc. to implement the following four projects at the total amount of 359,081 Euro.



The Embassy of Japan in Iran has been supporting various organizations, including NGOs, since 1999 under the scheme of ‘Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects’. As a result, GGP has provided and implemented 169 projects in the field of education, health, public welfare and rural development. The Government of Japan will continue to support NGOs and local governments of Iran which works for the humanitarian and development field.
On February 3, H. E. Mr. Tamaki Tsukada , Ambassador of Japan to Iran signed a Grant Contract with Iranian NGOs, etc. to implement the following four projects at the total amount of 359,081 Euro.
- Grant Agreement to provide 76,716 Euro to Persian Gulf Hospital of Qeshm to implement the Project for the Provision of Endoscopy Equipment to Qeshm Island in Hormozgan Province

- Grant Agreement to provide 147,000 Euro to Bushehr University of Medical Sciences to implement the Project for the Provision of Mammography Equipment for Indigent Women in Bushehr Province

- Grant Agreement to provide 74,379 Euro to Zeinab Kobra Charity Foundation to implement the Project for the Provision of Vocational Training Equipment for Vulnerable Women in Tehran Province

- Grant Agreement to provide 60,986 Euro to Nanaa Community Support for Disabled of Alborz to implement the Project for the Provision of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Equipment for the Physically-challenged in Alborz Province
