Signing Contracts of Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects FY 2025

“Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP)” implemented by the Embassy of Japan in Iran is based on the concept of human security and it is a flexible and timely funding scheme directly benefits to the grassroots level.  
 
On December 15, H. E. Mr. Tamaki Tsukada , Ambassador of Japan to Iran signed two Grant Contracts with an Iranian NGO and a Medical University, etc. to implement the following projects at the total amount of 209,703 Euro.

1. Grant Agreement to provide 143,541 Euro to Noor Cancer Charity to implement the Project for the Provision of Mammography Equipment for Indigent Women in Hormozgan Province

 
2. Grant Agreement to provide 66,162 Euro to Zahedan University of Medical Sciences to implement the Project for the Provision of Sonography Machine for Destitute People in Sistan and Baluchestan Province

 
The Embassy of Japan in Iran has been supporting various organizations, including NGOs, since 1999 under the scheme of ‘Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects’ (GGP). As a result, GGP has provided and implemented 173 projects in the field of education, health, public welfare and rural development. The Government of Japan will continue to support NGOs and local governments of Iran which works for the humanitarian and development field.
