Contract of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects
by the Government of Japan regarding
ZANJIREH OMID International Charity Institute
Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) has acquired an excellent reputation for providing flexible and timely support to development projects at the grass-roots level. The contract for granting a donation of €72,552 to ZANJIREH OMID International Charity Institute, will be signed by Mr. Kinichi Komano, Ambassador of Japanese Embassy in Iran and Ms. Maryam Marashi, Representative of ZANJIREH OMID International Charity Institute, on 6th January 2011
ZANJIREH OMID International Charity Institute has been implementing activities that contribute to improving surgical techniques and to donate under privileged children on pediatric orthopedics, since 2007
Although it’s assumed that there are 50 thousand pediatric orthopedic patients who are congenital or afflicted the disease in car accidents, a lot of patients have not received adequate medical treatment because of shortage of hospitals in Iran, having enough equipment on an international standard level
For these reasons, ZANJIREH OMID International Charity Institute initiated a plan to manage the clinic for free treatments and physiotherapy to pediatric orthopedic children and applied GGP to implement the required equipment. The Government of Japan accepted this project and is going to sign the contract with ZANJIREH OMID International Charity Institute
The Government of Japan intends to further continue its assistance to NGOs and non-profit organizations active in the humanitarian and development fields, in the Islamic Republic of Iran. (End)
